Freedom of Knowledge sticky icon

Freedom of Knowledge
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

Event

The event was just awesome. I would like to say the entire plan worked well. Thanks to Jemshid. Infact, only me and Jemshid was working at the venue. We could co-operate with Manu, Shyam, Jatheendra, Ragsagar, Krishnaraj, etc over the IRC channel #fsug-calicut.

The idea of working together with a particular agenda would bring a lot of new suggestions. The entire web portal of fsug-calicut has been created in just one night. Its really inspiring. Thank you all.

We are a group of people who love to work in free software, aspire to contribute to free software, and dream a world of freedom of knowledge.

Free software is a matter of the users' freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change and improve the software. More precisely, it refers to four kinds of freedom, for the users of the software:

* The freedom to run the program, for any purpose (freedom 0).
* The freedom to study how the program works, and adapt it to your needs (freedom 1). Access to the source code is a precondition for this.
* The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor (freedom 2).
* The freedom to improve the program, and release your improvements (and modified versions in general) to the public, so that the whole community benefits (freedom 3). Access to the source code is a precondition for this.
